Hardwood floors are some of the easiest types of flooring to keep tidy and clean. Unlike carpets, hardwood floors require minimum maintenance and can last for many years. Clean hardwood floors that run throughout a house can make the house look both beautiful and spacious. Maintenance methods to clean hardwood floors should not differ among types, but some finishes may require extra care when removing stains.
Our Wood Floor Clean & Polish Service
Our "Clean & Polish" service is carried out on floors selaed with waterborne / polyurethane varnish which do not have signficant wearing of the coating. It is a maintenance service designed to extend the duration of the sealing.
Our operatives will clean carfully the wooden floors making sure there is no any dust or dirt left, before application of the polish. The polish is applied after the floors are completely dry.
Although this service can not remove the scratches from the floor, it will remove the scuffs and piling of dirt, which combined with the sheen provided by the polish will give your floor the feeling of a brand new floor.
Hardwood & Parquet Floors Waxing / Oiling
Floor waxing and oiling promises to bring out the true natural beauty of a hardwood floor. We are proud to introduce a three step waxing process, which will give your hardwood floors a brilliant clean appearance, an appearance that is well deserved.
First your floor is carefully cleaned. At this time all dirt, grime and/or debris is removed using a soft broom or lightweight vacuum cleaner, followed by a damp mop. It is important to remove grit and dirt from hardwood floors. Dirt and grit are the biggest enemies when it comes to scratching or scouring the floor finish.
Next, paste wax is applied and using a high speed, waxing machine the floor is buffed. We apply different types of paste wax or liquid wax in spray to your floor depending on the type of wood and the condition of your floor.
Finally, we polish the floor until a radiant shine appears. Each area of the floor is done four times with steel wool of appropriate thickness, special pads, and towels.
You can be sure that your floor will look more alive after the treatment. It will be clean, shiny and well protected.
Wood Floor Buffing
Wood floor buffing is a simpler process than waxing and should be done more frequently. While the same machine is used to do the service, only pads of different thicknesses are used to buff the wax that is already on the floor. This process removes all scuff marks from the floor and brings back the shine as well as it cleans the floor and keeps it protected.
