Make up can put a shine on a woman’s face but it gets really annoying when smudged on all kind of fabrics around the house. Our domestic cleaners may have a really difficult time in removing it.
For cleaning up cream like traces start with scraping off excess carefully without spreading it around. Use hot water as long as the fabric allows it and scrub from the outside of the spot inwards with an old toothbrush. Use a tiny bit of the house cleaning product – baking soda and then wash, preferably with biological washing powder. Powder make up usually settles in the fabrics, so you can start with vacuuming it. Rinse any leftover marks in cold water and rub a little bit of washing liquid onto the spot and the fabric against it. Make sure the washing liquid is not of a bright colour as this may set in and leave a shade on the fabric. Finish with a simple wash. Hair dye stains are one of the hardest to be removed and a prompt reaction from a domestic cleaner is required. Soak the stain in cold water and rub. Washing up liquid can help get the stains out or alternatively use white vinegar and lemon juice to bleach the stain. Lipstick and mascara are other challenges in domestic cleaning . Start with scraping off the excess. Wet the spots with warm water, then rub in washing up liquid. Finally rinse well.
And if you are wondering whether to clean the make up stains yourself from carpets and soft furnishings or hire professional upholstery and carpet cleaners, I would advise you to do the latter one. For booking call 08454599855 or 02088309787.
